Hello, my name is Surianne.

I was born on the 'Rock ' of Gibraltar ... Gibraltar is situated
at the southern tip of Europe, neighbouring Spain and Morocco,
and is one of Britain's few remaining colonies. But best of all,
it's VAT free!

I am an independent singer / songwriter playing a mix of
Latin / Rock / Folk fusion. For over 4 years, I've been performing
in and outside the UK in venues & festivals such as The Carling
Academy Islington, The London International Music Show 2008, The Twelve Bar, Gibraltar St.Michaels Cave, The Princes Trust Regional Awards Ceremony, The Stockton on Tees Riverside Festival 2007, Water Aid 2007, The Beverley Folk Festivals 2006, Nottingham Riverside Festival 2006, Drop in The Ocean 2005, Birmingham International Festival 2005, Gibraltar Rock Concert 2004 & 2005 & Nottingham Arboretum Festival 2004. I have been a support act for artists such as Edwina Hayes, Suzanne Vega, Breed 77 and Steve Balsamo and in 2005, I was nominated for a Birmingham Music Award for best Unsigned / Unplugged Act in the Midlands.

My music is derived from a blend of various cultures, inspired
by warm summer nights and Mediterranean grooves. I remain loyal
to my roots being strongly influenced by the fusion of acoustic
guitar sounds and driving percussive rhythms. My songs are comprised of infectious melodies and soaring vocals, complemented by my bandmates, talented friends who's understanding of my music has helped create what you hear.
