Surianne is a roots-driven rock artist drawing on blues, soul and funk. Influenced by the expressive lineage of Skunk Anansie, Linda Perry, Janis Joplin and Eva Cassidy, her music centres on a powerful, emotionally direct vocal style underpinned by groove-led arrangements.

Active for over a decade, Surianne has built a strong live reputation, performing across the UK, Spain, Gibraltar and Italy, and appearing at festivals such as the Gibraltar International Jazz Festival, The Eyes Have It, Beverly Folk Festival, and Nottingham Riverside Festival. She has shared the stage with artists including Suzanne Vega, China Crisis, Altered Images, Sleeper, Geno Washington, Natalie McCool, and Stefano Di Battista.

“My Heart” follows Surianne’s previous releases, “Unwanted”, “Cold Cruel Winter”- a dynamic three-track EP, recorded, mixed and produced by Guillermo “Will” Maya (Breed 77, The Answer, Adrian Smith). Powered by a rhythmic funk-rock fusion, “My Heart” is a fun, high-energy anthem anchored by a tight, danceable bass line and syncopated funk drums. Thick, layered guitars fuel the sound, while Surianne’s soulful vocals deliver heartfelt lyrics with unique relentless energy.

‘My Heart’ is all about emotional boundaries – about giving everything to a relationship or friendship that once felt real and deeply connected, only to realise it was one-sided, more performance than truth. It’s about taking back control, choosing self-protection and finding the strength to push that person away. If you connect with this feeling, you know your heart is powered by truth.
